What's Screeble?

Haven't you ever been driven by temptation to freely scribble on your Desktop? I know some desktop painting applications, but not about those which "makes believe" that I'm entering characters directly from the keyboard to the Desktop. I'm using Screeble to leave a message or a warning on the Desktop.

Screeble is a compound of Screen and Scribble. It's a sort of good-for-nothing applications, but it can make you feel you are entering messages or memos directly from the keyboard to the desktop. Simply tap your keyboard to display text and lines with your favorite properties on the desktop.

The latest version provides The Boss Is Comin' function that allows you to instantaneously change the desktop appearance by pressing the hot key.

ExCalc works on Windows XP/NT/2000/Vista/7/8/8.1/10

Notes on Starting Screeble

(1) Immediately after running Screeble, you can enter characters directory from the keyboard to the desktop and draw lines by the mouse, but cannot access to the desktop except the system icons on the taskbar, "Stay-on-top" programs and the margin area defined by Screeble.
(2) To exit Screeble, right-click on the desktop while pressing [Alt]+[Ctrl]+[Shift] keys in order. Select Exit from the pop-up menu.
(3) The icon of this program is typically not shown on the taskbar or in the panel where hidden system icons (indicators) are placed.

Installing Screeble

1. Unzip the distributed file into an arbitrary folder.
2. Right-click on the icon of the executable file "Tscreebe.exe" and select "Create shortcut" to create a shortcut on the desktop. Double-click on the icon and confirm that the program normally runs. Refer to 4. below to show the help.
3. The program should work typically with no problem. In some Windows environments, Visual Basic (VB) runtime driver "msvbvm50.dll" has to be copied, if not exists and as an administrator when prompted by Windows, to the following folder:
Windows 7 and later-----    C:\Windows\SysWOW64
Windows Vista and earlier-----    C:\Windows\System32
The VB runtime driver is included in the distributed ZIP package.
4. As the program contains the help files created in the old format with the extension "HLP", Windows Help program should be installed. See "How to Run Help Files" in our website for further details.

Trademark acknowledgments: Windows and Visual Basic are registered trademarks of Microsoft Corporation.

Uninstalling Screeble
