SuperCon 2000, formerly known as Converter II, derives from the freeware Unit Converter. Unit Converter was optimized for the really practical use of the author's own: It was featured by compactness and quick accessibility to the units to be converted from/into. Since the first release of Unit Converter, I received requests from many users for more flexibility in adding units and editing conversion tables. I once considered to modify Unit Converter to meet the requests, but finally came to conclude it will degrade its optimized feature for the original purpose. Consequently, Converter II became highly configurable and quite different in graphical user interface, and reborn as SuperCon 2000 that contains more than 800 units.
Why does it allow you to see the conversion factors in the main window? The answer is that professionals would instinctively like to witness what's going with their own eyes.
This program works under Windows Vista and earlier with ActiveX controls that can be downloaded from the Installation page. Unfortunately, Windows 7 and later cannot run this program due to the MSCOMCTL.OCX incompatibility at the moment. Tek Design is ready to distribute the source codes to those who want to recompile them for the latest Windows system. Please feel free to contact us.
